Eye Security raises 60 million euros for further growth in Europe.

Sofina leads Series C round, largest cybersecurity investment ever in a Dutch startup

The Hague, June 30, 2026
 – Eye Security raises €60 million in a Series C financing round. The round is led by Sofina, which acquires a minority stake in Eye Security. Existing investors TIN Capital, JP Morgan Growth Equity Partners, and Bessemer Venture Partners are participating again. This represents the largest investment to date in a Dutch cybersecurity startup.

Organizations in Europe are facing more cyberattacks, stricter regulations, and greater reliance on digital systems. European companies are seeking an alternative to large, primarily American, suppliers without compromising on quality. Eye Security offers a solution: professional security, supported by experienced experts.

Eye Security in the next growth phase

Eye Security was founded in 2020 in The Hague by former experts from the Dutch intelligence and security services. Their premise: medium-sized organizations should have access to the same level of cyber expertise as governments and multinationals. In a short time, Eye Security grew into a European player with more than a thousand clients in the Benelux, the DACH region, and other markets. The company has offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany and is further expanding its teams in these countries.

The new investment will be used to further grow in other European countries, further develop the product, and expand the technical, threat intelligence, and customer contact teams.

“Cyberattacks are becoming smarter and faster. Organizations must have an answer to that every day,” says Job Kuijpers, founder and CEO of Eye Security. “Europe needs its own cybersecurity solutions. Solutions developed here, based on European values and independence. That is what we build at Eye Security.”

A European platform for modern cyber threats

Eye Security offers an integrated platform that connects digital security and insurance. The services consist of continuous monitoring, a 24/7 Security Operations Center, rapid incident response, and proprietary cyber insurance. This provides clients with a single point of contact, from prevention to recovery following a cyber incident.

  • Experts, not just algorithms. With cyberattacks becoming increasingly sophisticated, the Eye Security platform Cyber Guard combines automated detection with 24/7 human threat analysis.
  • Independently designed. Instead of locking customers into a single ecosystem, Eye Security integrates with the tools organizations already use: EDR, cloud security tools, and infrastructure solutions.
  • European-made, trusted in Europe. Eye Security is a European platform, founded and based in the EU by experts from Dutch intelligence services, with data storage within EU borders. For organizations that must comply with GDPR and NIS2, this offers clarity.
  • Security and insurance integrated. Eye Security combines monitoring, incident response, and threat intelligence with its own cyber insurance. A unique combination now that traditional insurers are withdrawing.

Impact of the investment

“This round shows that there is room for a strong, European alternative,” says Kuijpers. “We are going to pick up the pace, tap into more markets, and show that European cybersecurity can be just as scalable as the major American players.”

In concrete terms, that means:

  • Customers gain access to more integrations, better threat intelligence, and new features. Their security grows with the threat level, without disruption to the organization.
  • Partners , such as MSPs and insurance brokers, can build further on the platform. Eye Security is designed to be offered through the channel, including integrated cyber insurance.
  • The European security community benefits from additional investments in talent, research, and knowledge sharing. Eye Security aims to play a visible role in raising the overall level of security in Europe.

Perspective of Sofina and TIN Capital

“Sofina seeks entrepreneurs who build category leaders in markets with structural growth opportunities,” says Jean-François Burguet, Principal and Digital Transformation Lead at Sofina. “As AI democratizes cyberattacks, we believe Eye Security is well-positioned to defend organizations against these threats. By combining strong cybersecurity expertise with focused ambition, Job and his team have built a platform that offers enterprise-grade security to the mid-market. We look forward to supporting this team as they expand their services across Europe.”

“As an investor in Eye Security, we have closely followed the company’s growth. We are keen to support companies that offer real solutions to the challenges facing Europe: geopolitical tensions, stricter regulations, and increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks. Eye Security does exactly that, and we are proud to be part of that journey,” said Maarten Derks, Managing Partner at TIN Capital.
