In this blog, we sit down with Anne Postma, our Product Manager, to discuss the Eye Portal—a key tool that gives businesses a clear view of their cybersecurity status. Anne shares how the portal makes cybersecurity more accessible, offering real-time insights and actionable recommendations.

What's this update all about?

We want to share the Eye Portal with you so you can see for yourself what you would get if you were to become an Eye Security customer. Everybody can now get a real feel for the services we offer and how we report on them. The Eye Portal, which is something we’ve been working on, is a window into the day-to-day value of our services at Eye Security. You can see your core security metrics, threat-hunting reports, detections and loads more. It’s personally exciting for me because we, as security experts, have a duty to make cybersecurity easy for our customers. And the Eye Portal is the way we aim to do that. So together, we can protect businesses against cyber criminals.

Why is that important?

I speak to lots of customers, and I’ve been in the industry for a while. I know that many businesses get anxious about how secure they are or getting hacked. Especially because they don’t have dedicated security people in-house. And even if they do have an EDR solution in place like CrowdStrike - which we integrate with by the way - if you’re not a cyber specialist, it can be difficult to know what to do with data from those platforms.

So we want to make the Eye Portal experience a little like having a security expert from Eye always by their side when they login. Giving them recommendations on how to fix gaps in their attack surface. Updating them on detections. Logging all our vulnerability and threat-hunting reports in one place with advice on what customers need to do to remediate the situation. Basically, making security more transparent, easy to understand and act on without the need to hire security experts themselves.

And one final point: these insights aren’t just ‘nice to have’. They are super critical for businesses to continuously stay ahead of cybercriminals.

What's changed?

Well, the Eye portal has been around for over a year and we’ve already learned a lot. For example, how to generate the best metrics that provide actionable solutions for our customers. And we’re continuously adding new insights to it. So the portal isn’t new. But giving people access to it, albeit a demo account, is new. It’s not that common within the Security industry to be as transparent as we are being. So that’s really exciting. But it’s also really important.

I think it will give people who are curious about Eye Security a better feel of what you get when you become a customer. Security is still very service-oriented, so it is difficult to know what you’re buying. Especially for customers who have never had a security vendor before. Now they can see what that would mean for them and how it would fit within their workflows and teams.

How does that help you?

The real value of this is that customers can make informed decisions about where to invest their time to improve their security posture and feel confident about those decisions. Ultimately, it helps them become more resilient over time at a predictable cost, in an ever-changing threat landscape.
