Our history

The story begins with
National Security.

In 2020, three employees of the Dutch National Security made a decision. Pooling their expertise, they set up a company with the aim of making national-intelligence-grade cybersecurity available to vulnerable businesses that are part of a larger supply chain.

A few years later, Eye Security relies on hundreds of skilled employees, including dozens of former national security experts working in several offices around Europe.

Today, Eye Security is a leading European cybersecurity company offering an all-in-one cyber protection package. In 2022, we launched an insurance solution, making us the first European company to fully secure and insure companies against cyber damage within 24 hours.

Anne Masson leads Eye Security’s efforts in Belgium as CEO. With a background in sales, risk management, and technology, Anne is passionate about helping businesses protect themselves from cyber threats. Fluent in Dutch, French, and English, she is well-suited to lead the company’s expansion in Belgium and, eventually, France. Anne’s focus is on building strong client relationships, ensuring that Eye’s cybersecurity solutions not only meet the technical needs of companies but also align with their business goals. She is dedicated to making cybersecurity more accessible and effective for businesses, no matter their size.

With a career spanning nearly 24 years, Christopher Lohmann has gained extensive experience in operational management in the insurance industry. For the last 10 years, Christopher has served as a board member and CEO at several leading insurance companies in the German-speaking region of Europe, including Talanx, Gothaer, and Allianz. He has a proven track record of driving cybersecurity initiatives throughout his career.

Alex Ferrara.

Alex Ferrara joined Bessemer Venture Partners in 2005. He led Shopify's Series A for BVP in 2010. Today he serves on the boards of Pipedrive, BigID, Hunters.ai, Dashlane, ManyChat, Manta and Optibus among others. He primarily invests in enterprise SaaS, SMB software, and cybersecurity and is particularly focused on European startups.
